The year 2027 marks a powerful milestone—20 years since mothers across different countries, time zones, and cultures came together for the first simultaneous and synchronized breastfeeding. What began as a bold act of protest against discrimination has grown into a global movement of courage, unity, and pride.
For many mothers, breastfeeding in public has not always been met with support. It has been questioned, criticized, even discouraged. In response, mothers chose to stand together—nurturing their children openly and unapologetically. What started as resistance has since transformed into celebration, embraced in countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia, especially during moments such as World Breastfeeding Week. In 2027, organizers aim to take this movement even further by setting TWELVE national and international records—each one a statement of commitment to mothers, children, and the future. These efforts will: 1. Highlight the vital connection between breastfeeding, plant-based nutrition, and a healthy microbiome—laying the foundation for lifelong wellness. 2. Inspire local government action to invest in breastfeeding support systems, including community kitchens that nourish pregnant and breastfeeding mothers while addressing their broader needs. This is more than an event. It is a movement that honors motherhood, protects children’s health, and builds communities that care. Overall Project Goals
