We dream that all mothers will breastfeed their children, celebrating this profound experience of motherhood with gratitude to God and respect for His infinite wisdom and generosity.
We promote breastmilk as the only perfect milk for our babies and young children and indigenous foods as excellent sources of nutrients. We ensure that breastfeeding counseling is a national endeavor; the staging of Sabay-Sabay Sumuso sa Nanay (Synchronized Breastfeeding Worldwide) and the celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, a national passion. We revive earth-friendly Filipino indigenous nurturing practices that sustained breastfeeding in the past. We establish a career that will enhance motherhood, a career that will empower mothers to realize the body’s tremendous capacity to nurture, heal and regenerate. We work to create a strong social support for breastfeeding mothers and their children because we believe that parenting is a social responsibility. |
